Add an MP3 playlist

Show off your music to website visitors. Simply create a playlist made up of MP3 files from your storage space with the emyspot CMS.

Let's see how to view a playlist of music in a page or in the vertical menu of your site.

How does it work?

Here is an example of a playlist that you can easily display on your website.

Choose the MP3s hosted in the storage space.

MP3s are played one after the other. It is the ideal widget to present your compositions or to create a web radio on your site!

Add your playlist to a page

Easily add a playlist to a page by clicking Other widgets. Choose Gadgets and Playlist MP3. Click Add MP3. A pop-up opens and allows you to insert an existing MP3 file into your storage or download a new file. Enter a title and the name of the artist.

By default, it is the name of the file, but we recommend that you edit this as it is the title that will be displayed for Internet users. The name of the artist is optional.

Depending on the number of songs you want to play in your playlist, repeat the process by clicking Add MP3. You can add up to 45 tracks and easily arrange them in the desired order with the "up" and "down" directional arrows. Delete a song by clicking on the cross on the top left. If you need to change a track, you can directly edit the song without deleting it.

Define the settings

Under the Add MP3 button, click Widget Settings to access all the display options of the playlist:

Display playlist: by selecting No, you will hide the song list. The title of the current song will be displayed under the player but the others will be hidden.

Download Link: This option allows the user to download the song. An mp3 link will be placed at the end of the line.

Show Playback Modes: This option allows visitors to use the random play and repeat options in the list.

Volume control: This option allows visitors to adjust the volume directly from the audio player.

Automatic playback: When this option is selected, the audio player will start automatically when the page is opened. Warning: it is not advisable to have several audio players with this option activated on the same page.

Conclusion

By allowing you to display up to 45 songs in the order of your choice, this widget will bring a real plus to your site to discover your compositions or broadcast a web-radio.

Note, however, that you must use music files for which you have rights. If you add MP3 under copyright, your site may be deleted.

The color that is applied to the widget icons is linked to the settings of the icon colors you have chosen on the Settings > Design (for all the themes that allow it).
