No pain, no gain: a few words and a mea* culpa

OK, so maybe the forceps left a slight mark after all, which you might just have noticed ...

Yes, we've been experiencing a few technical glitches and slower access times at certain periods of the day (plus the odd cry for help), but we're well on our way to getting things back to normal so you can get back to the business of website building. And who doesn't stumble at least once while they're growing up? If you think back to when you were a little younger, I'll wager you'll remember a scrape or two. I know I do, and, although my ET BMX is long since gone (I wonder what ever happened to that bike?), I still have the scars on my knee and shin to prove it.

Let me just reassure everyone that:

  • we're aware of the difficulties some of our you are experiencing - we're doing everything we can sort out any outstanding issues as quickly as possible;
  • we answer every e-mail, so if you have a specific problem, write to us and we'll do our best to help as quickly as possible.

The technical problems we're experiencing are complex, and result from several changes which occurred last Friday. These included some infrastructure additions (new computers, yay!) to make things smoother and quicker for everyone. However, until the new equipment is properly optimized, it's not quite doing what it's supposed to (so no-yay). In spite of the current intermittent slower access at various times during the day, once the glitches have been fixed everyone's experience will be a whole lot better (and faster).

In the meantime, on behalf of the doomby team, please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience the current circumstances may have caused you.

*I'm way too busy to find out how to say "our" in Latin, so feel free to let me know.
