Updates to the Instagram widget

We added the Instagram widget to our list of interactive widgets in September. We have now updated the the features to allows Instastars and Insta-adept to integrate Instagram account. Discover the new upgraded features to display your Insta videos and photos on your website.

What is Instagram?

Instagram is a social networking app made for sharing photos and videos from a smartphone. Just as with other popular social networks, Facebook or Twitter, everyone who creates an account has a profile and a news feed. When you post a photo or video on Instagram, it will be displayed on your profile.

Those who follow your Instagram account will see your posts in their own feed. Likewise, you'll see posts from other users who you choose to follow. Instagrams popularity has turned many into Instastars, who have fans that like their pictures and demand for more.

So upon demand, we have added an Instagram widget to integrate your account in your website, in a grid format

What does the Instagram widget do?

With the first version of the Instagram widget, it was possible to upload a photo or video from your account. We have updated this widget to include more, so that the Insta photos have the feel and taste that users love on Instagram. This new version of the Instagram widget will allow you to display your last images or videos taken in grid form, with clickable miniatures to go directly to the image.

To illustrate the added feature of the Instagram widget we choose the official Instagram account of AMC's The Walking Dead. We choose the display 2x4, yet the widget let's you choose between 3x3, 2x4 or 4x2.

**Don't worry if you are a fan of Walking Dead this account should be spoiler free.

You must login to your Instagram account from your manager to access your feed

Google Maps API: Payment charges for third-party applications

Following the launch of Google Maps Platform and changes to its products, Google has announced its developments for Maps service for professionals, as well as an application of pricing based on Javascript API "calls" effective since 16th of July 2018.

Since 11th June, Google has been implementing this plan by making Google Maps API only accessible to application developers and publishers that have activated credit card billing and have an API key.

If you use this service on your website, to display a map or a route, then you are affected by this change.
