Activate this option
Go to Add-ons > Blog > Options and tick the box Enable blog submissions.
By default, this option will now be available to all of your members but you could activate for the members of your choice.
The member when on their member space of your site, if enabled to submit blog posts on your website, will find a link to Posts at the top right corner, right next to the button to disconnect.
Choose the members that can post to your blog
You can pick and choose the members that are permitted to post on your blog. In order to do so, you will need to create a group.
- Create a group
Go to Marketing > Site members > Groups, create a group, potentially Writers.
- Add member to the group
In Marketing > Site members you can edit the member sheet of your members. By clicking on Modify a member, you can then add him to a group.
- Allow publication to this specific group.
Go back to Add-ons > Blog > Options where the option to choose the group of members is available in the Enable blog submissions where a drop down menu will appear.
Check posts before publication
When a member adds a new post to your blog, there are two possibilities :
- The post is published automatically
As soon as a verified member posts, it will appear on your site. You receive an email (or not) depending on the options that you have applied in Account > Account Settings > Site Alerts.
To activate this option, go to Add-ons > Blog > Options and tick Publish automatically.
- The post awaits webmaster approval
This allows your to edit or peruse the content and placement of the article. You will find the awaiting posts in the Add-ons > Blog > Posts. Select the proposed post, clicking on Edit, correct it if needed and then change the status to publish and click Save.
